Oldies but Goodies

I'm really missing my Nikon and hope to have it back from the service center soon. I'm also missing nice weather. It was so blah today!
I can't wait for sunshine. I would love to take James Ryan for a walk but lately it's been too yucky outside. We're really looking forward to spring! For now I'll share a few photos taken before I was a blogger.

This was taken in the fall at Ang Cottone's baby shower. Seriously, Ava and Declan are gorgeous! I miss them...

This one is me, James Ryan, and Billy B. Billy is such a great kid, he is so kind to everyone and just loves James Ryan. This was in September, it was one of the first times and James Ryan and I went visiting after we left the hospital. We went to Nan's, she took this photo. It was a beautiful day.

This is at the end of August, a few days before my due date. My Mom and I thought that it would be fun to play with the new camera and do a maternity 'photo shoot.' It was fun and I'm really glad we did it. It don't have a lot of photos of myself very pregnant. For the most part, I really enjoyed pregnancy, at least the first 40 weeks. It got really old when I was late and everyday became the longest day of my life:)

Obviously Jim was not into the maternity photo shoot. He thought it was a dumb idea. He is supposed to be kissing my belly here but he felt like an idiot and couldn't keep a straight face. I know it's because my parents were there because he kissed my belly all the time when I was pregnant. Anyway, I still think this is a cute shot.

I know most of you know this photo, but I love it so much that I'm posting it anyway. This was taken at the hospital the day after little Jim was born.

Biggie

Just a few snapshots from bedtime, right before we read Goodnight Moon.

Check out little Jim's new Finding Nemo PJs, a gift from aunt Laura, thanks Laur! They are size 12 months! I am not ready for my baby to wear size 12 months yet:( He really is so big for his age, hence the nickname 'Biggie' - we call him that all the time.

Hopre you all have a nice lazy Sunday like we did!

Happy to be home, but enough with the camera!

Can't I just take my cat nap in peace?

Farley has been eating 'on demand' this week. I just keep feeding him, I really want him to be a happy, fat cat.

Nothing too exciting on the agenda for tonight. I'm heading to Blockbuster soon to rent 'The Departed.' Jim really wants to see it so it's pizza and a movie tonight.

Tomorrow we're just hanging out, visiting with family, and going out to dinner. We're looking forward to a relatively low key weekend.

Kevin a has birthday this weekend. The Big 2-9...weddings...nieces and nephews...Lowes....Have a great one!

Tommy Storer's Bday is this week too (I think, can't remember the exact date, February twenty-something....oops). Happy Bday Tom!

More cousins!

James Ryan had fun visiting with his cousin Stephan this week. Stephan is such a cute, happy boy!

Our little miracle...

FARLEY IS BACK!!!!
Do you believe it? He was gone for 2 weeks and I was really losing hope and starting to accept the fact that he was gone.
Friday before work, I hung new 'missing cat' signs because the first batch that I hung were destroyed in the ice storm. This time I made indestructible signs, laminated pages on on top of fluorescent poster board.
We got a call on Saturday that he may have been sighted a few streets away but it was a false alarm, it wasn't him. Then I got a message yesterday from a woman who said she thought Farley had been sleeping on her patio for a few days. We were in NYC when I listened to the message and to be honest, I didn't get my hopes up since none of the other calls led to us finding him.
On the way back from NYC, Jim dropped me off at the woman's house and as I walking up to ring the doorbell, I saw Far curled up and asleep on a chair on her patio! I couldn't believe it! I walked right up to him and picked him up and he meowed a licked my hand.
He seems happy to be home. He's a few pounds lighter, but seems fine otherwise.

I'm a so so happy to have him back!

Crazy fun weekend!

Just a quick post. My Mom and Dad and I have a lot to do today! We really need to go grocery shopping, I'm almost out of rice cereal and the fridge is looking pretty barren. Our friends Ricky and Cara are coming over for dinner tonight. Hopefully my Dad will make a fire, we haven't had one all week because my Dad was working a lot.
My Dad says that he and Ricky are both giving up drinking 'in the house' for lent so they need to drink the leftover wine from my baptism brunch tonight. I don't know, sounds like an excuse to party to me....I'm not judging though.

Tomorrow we're going to NYC to celebrate Grandma Sue's Birthday with her! Woot, we're going to party like rock stars!

Hope you are all having a crazy-fun weekend like me;)

Love,

James Ryan

Are you ready for some serious sweetness?

Welcome to the World Luke Joseph!
Born today.
8 lbs, 8 oz.
Look at him, he is pure perfection...
Lots of gorgeous hair, perfect lips, and the cutest little nose I have ever seen.

Congrats Ang and Joe!

Ok, James Ryan looks like such a meatball next to Luke:)
Luke felt like a feather when I held him, I can't believe that his birth weight was 1 lb 1 oz more than my chubby boy's! Babies really grow at light speed.
I can already tell these two are going to be trouble:)

I love this boy!!!!

At five months, he is already full of personality!

I love his silly litltle laugh.
He thinks I'm so funny and I love that.
He is seriously strong-willed. If he wants (or doesn't want) something, he'll let you know. He can't talk yet, but believe me he is very good at communicating his preferences.
He likes people.
He loves to learn, he is always taking everything in. He seems very analytical...hmmm...Dr. James Ryan Trakis. It has a nice ring:)

James Ryan's favorite thing to do...

Try to eat everything in sight. This boy doesn't discriminate, he chews on teethers, toys, blankets, his hands, wash clothes, my Mom's chin, pretty much anything he can get his chubby little hands on.

Good times, sad times...

Good times
I'm so excited to celebrate James Ryan's baptism this weekend, he'll be baptised tomorrow after 11:30 mass. He's going to look really cute in his outfit and we just got home from a nice dinner with family in town to celebrate with us - James Sr., Julia, Francis, Harold, Samantha, Andrew, and Steven. Jim cooked for hours yesterday to prepare for our feast tomorrow and we're looking forward to a nice day.

Sad Times
I am so sad to report that Farley is gone...
Unfortunately, he got out on Sunday when we left for our road trip and we didn't realize it until we gt home on Tuesday night. I've been looking all over for him, hanging flyers, talking to neighbors, calling the shelters, etc., and no luck yet:( He was around until Tuesday, I spoke to many people who saw him around the neighborhood on Tuesday evening. No sightings since then though.
I feel so guilty, sad, and depressed, and I'm still hoping that somehow he'll find his way home soon. It's just been so cold and he's never really spent time outside. It's hard not knowing where he is and if he's okay and I can't bear the thought of him suffering in any way. I feel responsible since I was the last one out on Sunday:( I'm so upset and depressed about this, it's been difficult for me to keep it together.
Anyway, I could really use some prayers, positive thoughts, etc., for his safe return.

Road trip

James Ryan had a lot of fun on our little road trip. We went to upstate NY to visit the Cocheo Family. It was great to see Taryn, Tim, and Sam. Isn't Samantha so adorable?

We also had a great time visting with Grandma Sue, Pop Pop Frank, GG Dot, Andrew and Steve.

How cute is he??

James Ryan is feeling a lot better and was so much fun today! He's laughing a lot now and it is adorable. He's also sleeping much better so we're all well rested and happy. Jim is working tomorrow and then on vacation for the week! We're really excited to spend a lot of quality time together. We're going to visit our good friends Taryn, Tim, and Samantha, and then going to stay with Grandma Sue for a night!

Tonight we're watching Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

I hope you all have a great weekend! Stay Warm:)

Adam Happel, Happy Birthday! I hope it's good one:)
