6*25 is a great day...

It's the birthday of one of the greatest men in the world, my hero, my Dad....

He's just the best! When I think about my Dad, I think of someone who always encouraged me, sacrificed so much to make sure that my family had everything we needed, instilled in us values such integrity, perseverance, and hard work.

He always made me feel special, and loved..and he was never too tired to play
catch:-}

I'm so lucky to have him :-}

Happy birthday Dad!

more t & k

i'm still going through and editing these but found a few more favorites....

t&k I'm anxious to hear which one's you like:-}

Kids @ Heart...

We went on a few rides in AC last night. It's safe to say that Tara and I were a little too excited about the rides, especially the Fun Slide. I'll admit, I felt a little out of place considering we were the oldest people in line by 20+ years...but it was oh so worth it:-}

T & K

Tara, Kev, and I went to AC to take a few engagement photos....here are just a few for now....

'S' is for Sweet...

and Samantha. Could she be any cuter? I think not:)

LJ and I hung out with Sam and Taryn today at Travers Island. Sam is talking a lot now and has such a personality!
It was so nice and we can't wait to see them again in a few weeks!

Ok, this one is funny, she's thinking..."Get the camera out of my face lady!"

:) Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Andrew and Steven are Almost Famous!!!!

Andrew and Steven's band The Tracks, have their first official 'gig' next week!! Do you believe it??? So fun!!
They're playing at the Star Lounge in the Chelsea Hotel in NYC.

Check out the band's myspace profile here to listen to a few of their covers.

Congrats guys, I'm so proud of you and can't wait to come to a show!

The Boss

Don't let this sweet, happy face fool you...one wrong move and you could have a temper tantrum on your hands:) I thought tantrums were for 2 year olds, no one warned me that 9 month olds can throw a tantrum with the best of them.

James Ryan is so funny, he has been cracking us up this week. He learned to dance and bops up and to music, it's so cute.
What's not cute is when you take something away that he's not supposed to have (ie - car keys, power strips, and other potentially dangerous items)...watch out, he throws a little fit, kicking, back arching, yelling. It's funny for 3 seconds the first time, not so much after that.

Meet TAS

We met him for the fist time tonight and he is such a cutie. His name is tommy just like his daddy, but for now he goes by his initials "T.A.S." Too cute:) I l.o.v.e him...

We can't wait to visit him in San Diego (his home town) hello Sea World and Disney Land!

Party Animals

It's Sunday night and were home again after a weekend of partying...we had a lot of fun this weekend, one party Saturday and one on Sunday, one was on Long Island, one in Jersey. Fun, fun, but we're wiped out now.

Here are a few of my favorite captures from weekend.

Big news ~ LJ has a new cousin, baby Robert. Congrats to Robbie, Paula & family! We can't wait to meet the little guy.

Date night

Tonight is date night for Jim and I and I'm eating ice cream and sipping pinot noir right now....gluttonous, I know:)

We are getting ready to watch a movie (date night in). I always pick the worst movies to rent and then we're disappointed. Maybe we're picky, we think a lot of movies suck. So...I have a question for all of you.

What movies would you recommend renting? I'm specifically tagging Taryn, Semi-Desperate Housewife, Tara, Laura, Ang CB, and Courtney to answer this...since I know all of you check out our blog at least once/week. Any other closet readers, please answer as well. If you have your own blog, you can post there, or you can leave a comment here.

Tonight, based on a recommendation, we rented 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.' I hope it doesn't suck, I'll let you know tomorrow.

A few of our favorites date night movies (in case anyone else chronically rents movies that suck) are:

Beautiful Girls
Goodwill Hunting
Jerry McGuire
Almost Famous
As Good as it Gets
Garden State
Cinderella Man
The Family Man
The Notebook
Saint Elmo's Fire (oldie but goodie)

I can't wait to hear your recommendations for movies that don't suck:)

In honor of date night, here we are back when date night did not consist of renting a movie, eating ice-cream, and drinking wine....

Mr. Independent

That's LJ. Seriously...he doesn't want to be a baby, he wants to do everything himself:) I would love to be pampered and doted on like him, he doesn't appreciate it...at all...

He now refuses to eat from a spoon, he just wants to feed himself but he doesn't have the hand eye coordination to feed himself with a spoon so that leaves us with stuff that he can eat with his hands....also he doesn't have teeth yet...so he pretty much eats Cheerios and small pieces of bread. He tries really hard to eat avocado but most of that ends up on his shirt, the high chair and the floor.

Almost forgot - he stood up for the first time tonight...he's crazy...just wants to grow up so fast. It's nuts, three days ago he was still learning to crawl and happily eating from a spoon, now that's old news and he's over it:)

We went to the park tonight and watched a Little League tee ball game, LJ was so excited, I swear, he was grinning from ear to ear and squealing with delight. He wanted to get out on the field, I'm pretty sure he thinks he's at least five years old.

Total change of subject, anyone else just love the song from the last scene in the Grey's Anatomy finale? I just L.O.V.E it...anyway the artist is Ingrid Michaelson and the song is called Keep Breathing, you can listen to some of her music on her MySpace page here. I don't think that you can puchase the song anywhere, it will be on the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack when it comes out, however, two of her older albums are for sale on iTunes.
Have a great week:)

Water Baby

James Ryan, my Mom, and I went to the beach on Friday. He loved the water, sand, and sea gulls. He played in the sand, tried to eat it of course! I dipped his toes in the water and he tried to sit down, he really wanted to play in the ocean, but the water is too cold now.

We also drove to Virginia Beach and back over the weekend for Quan's wedding. LJ was an angel in the car...poor little guy, it was a long trip and I feel bad for taking him, but I would have felt worse leaving him:) He handled the trip well, took a few naps in the car, watched a few baby Einstein DVDs on our laptop, it was ok. I decided that we'll have to stay for at least 3 nights next time we take a drive that long though:) We are all tired tonight.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
