Allyson is a friend from highshool. I saw a friend of hers at Tara's shower who mentioned that Allyson is a photographer and gave me her contact info....I feel so lucky to catch up with an old friend who is as crazy about photography as I am:)

It's been a crazy busy few weeks for us. No time for new pics of James Ryan

I do have time for a quick story -
Tonight at bath time, James Ryan managed to do pee-pees on my foot while he simultaneously picked up his dry clothes off the floor and threw them into the bathtub. He then flashed me a mischievous grin and giggled, I had to laugh:)

Christmas in September

Although I get annoyed when I see holiday decor in the stores before Halloween, it's not too early to start thinking about holiday photography.

Here is a sneak peek of the yummy holiday card options I'll be offering my photography clients this year....

It's fun to be {1}...

James Ryan had a great first bday, a trip to the beach, two servings of ice cream, and he received a package of 'oh so adorable' gifts from his
Yia Yai(s) and Papou(s). What more could a one year old ask for?


He couldn't stuff the ice cream cake in his mouth fast enough...I think he's wondering "what's going on, why are they letting me do this?"

busy bees

James Ryan and I did a lot of traveling this past week, we were in VA Beach (with my parents) for a business trip, and then we went to Long Island (with Jim) for the weekend. We had a fun time and are happy to be home now, except that it's back to reality:( The pool closed for the season tonight and it's back to work tomorrow:( It will be a short week though, we are off to celebrate J*Ry's real b-day on Thursday.

{monkey extravaganza}

James Ryan had a lot of fun at his monkey bash. We went a little over board on the monkey theme:)

We had monkey centerpieces that were given as prizes to the winners of 'Pin the Banana on the Monkey'



We had great food paired with monkey wine....



and a fabulous monkey cake made by Aunt Laura.



By the time we sang, I think James Ryan was a little bewildered and tired becaue he missed his afternoon nap. He didn't really get into the cake, but don't worry, we have something fun planned for his real bday on the 6th.




Big thanks to everyone who came to the party, and especailly to everyone who was a huge help with the preparation, set up, clean up, etc. We really appreiciate it!!

James Ryan got so many wonderful gifts, he loves all of them:) Thanks again!

Diapering and clothing James Ryan is a mini wwf match these days. He fights, squirms, whines, wiggles, and tries to escape every time we change him. I thought I had won the diaper battle of the evening, but I was wrong, about ten minutes after bathing and diapering him, look what I saw toddling down the hall...

A nakey baby, diaper no where in sight. James Ryan is holds the mini wwf title of the diaper wars for the moment:}

and of course, james ryan...he learned how to wave bye-bye yesterday, i'm so proud of him:) i know, he doesn't look like the cleanest child here...learning how to walk+the beach = many headers into the sand. he had a great time though, i swear;)

Miss A reeaaally liked the leaves. Maybe she'll be a tree hugger like me:-)
Not sure why the leaves are changing in the 90 degree August weather, some of the photos look like fall photos.
